Privacy Policy
Pin: Volleyball Stats ("Pin", "we") is a mobile app for following NCAA Division I women's volleyball. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read.
What we collect
If you create an account
- Your email address. Used to send you a sign-in code and, rarely, a message about your account. There is no password.
- What you do in the app: the teams and players you follow, your favorites, alert settings, your trading cards and Ultimate Team squad, your bracket entries and pools, your coin balance and its history, and any creator code you redeem.
- A push notification token, only if you turn alerts on. It identifies your device to Apple's notification service and nothing else.
You can use Pin without an account. Scores, schedules, standings, rankings and every free stat are readable without signing in, and we collect nothing about you when you do.
If you buy something
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. We never see your card number. Our billing partner, RevenueCat, processes the transaction and tells us the product, the price, the date, and whether it renewed or was refunded, so we can unlock what you bought. We keep that purchase record for accounting even after you delete your account, with your identity removed.
If you are on the free tier
Free screens carry a small banner ad and the Packs screen offers an optional "watch an ad for coins" video. Ads are served by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads only and do not ask for permission to track you across other apps. To serve an ad, Google receives your device's IP address, general device information, and the ad's own interaction data, under Google's privacy policy. When you finish a rewarded video, Google's servers tell ours that it was watched so we can credit your coins; that message includes your account id.
Subscribers see no ads and none of this applies to them.
What we do not collect
- No precise location.
- No contacts, photos, or microphone.
- No cross-app tracking identifiers (we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission).
- No analytics SDK that profiles you. We count how features are used in aggregate, from our own database.
Why we collect it
To run the app: sign you in, keep your follows and cards across devices, send the alerts you asked for, deliver what you paid for, pay the creators whose codes you used, and keep the free tier free with ads. That is the whole list. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Player and team data
The statistics, schedules and rosters in Pin describe college athletes and are compiled from publicly available sources, including the NCAA's public box scores and schools' athletics websites. Pin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any conference, any school, or any athlete. If you are an athlete or a school and have a concern about how you appear in the app, write to us at the address below and we will respond promptly.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete it from More → Delete account in the app and everything above is removed immediately: your profile, follows, cards, brackets, coins, alert settings and push token. Purchase records are kept for accounting with your account id removed. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — Apple manages that, in your App Store settings.
Children
Pin is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can see everything we hold about you in the app, correct it there, and delete it there. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants you additional rights over your data, email us and we will honor them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you the next time you open it. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
