Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Pin: Volleyball Stats ("Pin", "the app"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
1. The app
Pin shows scores, schedules, statistics and rankings for NCAA Division I women's volleyball, and offers trading cards, an Ultimate Team game and a bracket challenge built on those statistics. We work hard to keep the data accurate and timely, but it is compiled from third-party public sources and is provided as-is. Do not rely on it for wagering or for any decision where an error would harm you.
Pin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any athletic conference, any school, or any athlete. Team names and player names are used to identify the teams and players the statistics describe.
2. Your account
You can use most of Pin without an account. To follow teams, collect cards, enter brackets or subscribe, you sign in with an email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for the email account you use. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You may delete your account at any time from More → Delete account.
3. Pin Pro (subscription)
Pin Pro unlocks the advanced statistics and features described on the paywall. It is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Deleting the Pin app or your Pin account does not cancel the subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may change; you will be notified before a price change takes effect on your renewal.
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Free unlocks ("free passes") are a courtesy, limited per month, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
4. Coins, cards and packs
Coins are a virtual currency that exists only inside Pin. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money or anything outside the app, and are not refundable except where the law requires. You earn coins from creator codes, daily rewards, watching optional ads, and bracket prizes, and you can buy them in the app. A purchase of coins is final once the coins are credited.
Coins buy packs of trading cards. The odds of each card tier are shown on every pack before you open it, and the odds in force are recorded with each opening. Cards are a license to use a digital item inside the app, not property; they may change as the season's statistics change ("living cards"), and we may adjust the game's rules, scoring and rewards to keep it fair.
If we retire the Ultimate Team feature, we will give reasonable notice in the app. Coins and cards are not a deposit and are not owed back to you.
5. Bracket challenge and pools
The bracket challenge is a free game of skill. No purchase is necessary to enter, and buying a subscription or coins does not improve your chance of winning. Prizes, where offered, are coins and in-app recognition only — never cash. Private pools are run by their creators; we may remove a pool or entry that breaks these terms. Full contest rules are shown in the app.
6. Alerts and ads
Push notifications are opt-in and can be switched off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time. The free tier shows advertising; Pin Pro removes it. We do not control the content of third-party ads.
7. Creator codes
A creator code grants bonus coins and, where stated, an extra bracket entry, once per account. Codes may be limited, expire, or be withdrawn. Abuse of codes (including creating multiple accounts to redeem them) may result in the coins being removed and the accounts closed.
8. Acceptable use
Do not scrape, copy or redistribute the app's data or content; do not attempt to bypass the paywall, forge purchases or ad rewards, or interfere with the service; do not use the app to harass anyone, including athletes. We may suspend or close an account that does.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from errors or omissions in the data. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app, and continuing to use the app after that is acceptance. We may discontinue the app or any feature. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Pin's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content.
